  This wine's nose is complex with blackberry jam, licorice, chocolate, floral notes, a hint of vanilla. The blackberry jam with some black raspberry on the attack is bold, followed by layers of flavors with vanilla, licorice, and chocolate jumping out of the glass on the finish. Letting it aerate and having some food with it calmed it down a bit. It is a big, new world wine. Well made and delicious but a bit too ripe for many.
