  • Composed of 79% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 7% Cabernet Franc. Generous and engaging—ripe plum, dried lavender, dark-roast coffee, cigar box, vanilla, and cool eucalyptus culminates in a fresh, lively, and iron-rich finish. I enjoyed this with a juicy steak dinner and was genuinely sad to take the last sip.

  • Quality: good-very good. Good balance and intensity, could use a bit more complexity. Has potential to age. Would buy/drink again.

Appearance: deep, garnet-ruby. Opaque at the core
Nose: clean, medium intensity. Red & black plum, violets, bramble, chocolate. Alcohol is a touch warm. Youthful.
Palate: Dry, medium- acidity, medium fine tannins, medium alcohol (the 14.5 is well integrated), medium body, medium intensity, medium+ finish. Chocolate/mocha note.

  • Medium-bodied, soft, forward, fresh and spicy, with a core of sweet, red pit fruits, spice, lift and dusty tannins, with a touch of cocoa and leafy herbs that come in along with the endnote. This is the best vintage of Chateau de Sales I have ever tasted. Drink from 2023-2035.

93 vvPunkte www.vvwine.ch
