Given it is 7 years past its prime, the bottle still had a yellow color and retained the chardonnay characteristics I was looking for. It did not taste too old, still showed oak, and was pleasant with a rosemary cheddar.

Golden yellow color. Nose predominately of oak and butter, not much fruit. Started out with oak and a roundness. Decent weight and mouthfeel, medium body. Better than anticipated based on other reviews but simple. Oak and butter finishing with grapefruit. After 30 minutes got flabby, not better.

Will not be purchasing this again. Very little fruit with a slight trace of oak over top on both the nose and palate and a short finish. Even though this is low priced I would rather spend just a couple of dollars more to get an infinitely better wine.

Light oak that shows more on the finish, masked at first by a body of apple, pear, and a hint of grapefruit
