Wines of the Camino de Santiago; 9/13/2022-10/19/2022 (Northern Spain): The nose shows some more extraction and French oak, along with tones of Licorice, spices, black Cherries, black raspberries, smoke, crushed rocks, black currants, kirsch, baking vanilla, and toast notes. The Full bodied feel shows some heft with crisp, medium+ acidity and chunky, medium+ tannins. The French oak a bit too prominent and not integrated. This is a fun wine to try, but it’s also kind of non-descript.
