Good depth, lovely perfume. Herbs, red berry, spice. Drinks beautifully with our Ragu Bolognese as it is silky with structure. Still feels very young. Little sign of age even now at 25 years old. Hold.

CVNE vs La Rioja Alta faceoff (Chez Mas): Musty nose with distinctive nose of balsamic-sweetness. Hint of petrol was also picked up by several tasters. Hint of oak/vanilla and Morello cherries - Definitely Rioja!
Quite refined, but also simple. The nose is certainly more complex than the palate. Some cherry and dark berries. Smooth but short finish, with a little bit too much residual acidity. Slightly "earthy".

My first experience with this wine... thinner/softer than I was expecting. Outstanding!

Sweet plum jam, garrigue and herbs. Very lively at this stage, no resaon to keep it any longer.
