  • If you want a value white burgundy, a baby burgundy,, look no further. Nice round mouth feel, citrus, pineapple and a good taught finish. With a discount for buying 12 I think I got this for about US$17 per bottle.
This has all the marks of a burgundy, but in a more subdued package. No loads of fruit, but balanced. What I like is that even though it inexpensive, it still has the classic burgundy tension on the finish to remind you that you’re drinking something better than California or a new world styles. This is not a “wow“ wine, this is a surprisingly solid effort from a value wine that over delivers above its price point.
My score is based not just on the wine itself, but on the fact the wine was priced so low and yet brings classic marks.

  • Great value. Dry and bold with medium acidity. Notes of peach, pineapple, and some citrus.

  • Very pale gold. Pleasant but nondescript nose: a hint of lemon? the merest touch of oak? On the palate it's fresh and refreshing, with well-judged oak underpinning a fairly modest amount of fruit. If you want an attractively-presented, affordable white Burgundy, this is not bad. But I don't think it would excite anyone enough to make them want to explore white Burgundy further. Having said all that, I'm enjoying it more than the last time I tried the vintage: the extra ten months in bottle have filled it out a bit. Six more months - or even 12 or 18 - night being a further enrichening. Cork, 13%.
