Clear sign of age in the brick-tinged color. Decanted 2+ hrs. Incredible perfume of clove, cigar and sweet floral accents. Ripe red fruit, clove and espresso, with a savory soy sauce access. Unctious lucious mouthfeel, fine tannins, medium acid. Really great example of what Washington (Red Mtn) merlot can be with time (80% merlot, 20% cab; 100% Klipsun Vyd). Drink now or within 1-2 years.

Popped and poured. Still youthful, very dark purple core. I have struggled with some of mark's wines in their early stages. The oak and aggressive fruitiness have always seemed out of balance to me. I think I've just not been giving them nearly enough time to come together. This was a soft, elegant and complex wine. The nose had black olive, slow cooked pork and black currant. There was a sweet/savory palate with flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, sage and coriander. Balanced acidity. Medium long finish. Oddly, not even a hint of sediment. Would purchase again.

this wine has a long life ahead of it. Still youthful, nicely integrated flavors. Dark to the rim. Nose is dark, rich, complex and interesting. Palate is dark, rich, smooth and nicely complex. Decently long finish.

excellent, proved to be very ageworthy. Very prominent cherry notes, even more so on day 2
