Time to check back in with this and it’s still a beauty. It hasn’t moved much since my last bottle - zingy citrus fruit with lots of rocks and salty minerals. Tight focus and drive with some lovely textural elements that softens the acidity. Brilliant.

First off; wow! I don't think I would have guessed Aligoté if I was served this blind. It really, really resembles the Bourgogne Blanc or his Hautes-Côtes de Beaune 'Au Bout du Monde' in style and oak usage - but this Aligoté costs €30-40 if you get them from the right sources...
Classic PYCM reduction with some flint, struck matchstick and toastiness. Really intense and laser-sharp acidity - maybe what gives it away as Aligoté just a bit over his Chardonnay. Lemon, lime, zest, green apple, insane mineralness and chalkiness while also being light (12% ABV) but having that creaminess and buttery finish while being so acid-driven and energetic.
Inclined to almost up this to 92 points for the sheer QPR-value.

Bel Aligoté, fort honnête pour le prix, belle tension, fraicheur, se boit tout seul. 89

Straw coloured; muted nose, citrus & saline undertones; tangy pizzazz, intense, forward; energy to the finish. One for the shorter term.
