- Red apple - Toasted Brioche - Golden Yellow hue - Medium weight on the palette - Honey with in the finish - Smoother than DP, less sharpness/bright minerality, clearly more toasted and nutty

2023 Athens Wine Event; 12/8/2023-12/9/2023 (Athens, Greece): Tasted blind and we guessed 2004-2006 Dom Perignon and made a point also that we did not feel this was a P2… Fresh and bright and in a way defeats the purpose of the P2 which is supposed to show a deeper and more focussed side of the wine. That been said utterly delicious and great, still young, lazer level focus and with an intensity that lingers for a long time. A much fresher style of P2 but a great Dom nonetheless. Not sure it’s worth the premium vs the normal bottlings at this time of its life though. 95-96

6th tasting notes with consistent notes and scores.
Pronounced nose intensity with notes of toast, bread, mineral, sea shell. High acidity and long finish.
Tasted it blind together with Cristal 1999 and Cristal Vinotheque 1999. Among 7 friends, the verdict is mixed with no clear winner.
Cristal 1999 from palate taste similar to Dom P2, notes of toast, brioche, mineral, baked red apple.
Cristal Vinotheque 1999 tasted fresher, with green notes, grapefruit, lemon, pear, green apple.

Drink it side by side 2009 Cristal
5th tasting. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of toast, bread, mineral, sea shell. High acidity and long finish.
But when compared, it seem like P2 its more rounder and approachable.
However, as time evolve, Cristal become more elegant in style.
In summary, depending on your preference, if you like it sweeter, choose Cristal 8ml, while Dom P2 is 5g/l.
