  On nose: boysenberry, bitter chocolate, note of bay leaf.
  On palate: all above notes, enhanced....with light , but grippy tannins, rhubarb stalk, rosemary , vanilla/ oak, and a full, but sleek body....after a 2 hour decant, still tight, but promising wine...needs time....a good steak wine.

  Aromas of Black cherry, black olives, bay leaves, all-spice and black pepper. The palate is full bodied and rich, with dark lush fruit, savoury herbs, dark chocolate and ripe tannins that coat the sides of the palate that lead to a spicy slightly velvety finish. I have always appreciated Rust en Vrede wines, and compared to most of the wine coming out of South Africa this is easily my favourite producer.

  Après le succulent assemblage de Cabernet «Estate», voici la Syrah «Estate Vineyards». La robe est dense, rubis foncé presque violette. Le nez est classique de Syrah avec une belle trame épicée, de poivre et de bleuet. La bouche est tout aussi épicée avec ses notes de poivre. La finale est longue et légèrement tannique. Pas aussi complexe que le Cabernet mais quand même très satisfaisant.
