Still fresh! but won't get better at this point. Structure will last another 3 years, but fruit will fade. Nice nose and palate of cherry, dried raspberry, blackberry, and leather. Medium finish.

2 hour decant. Little bit of bricking on the edges. Leathery notes over cherry on the nose. Dark Ted fruits, tannins integrating nicely. Starting to show tertiary but just barely. Delicious but still a baby.

I have always regarded the Brunello from Pieri to be classified into the 'light on its feet' categorie but in this state of development I must confess it strikes me as a wonderful and complex wine with quite some substance and elegance. Fully mature with notes of haystack, leather as well as wood. Tannins have completely resolved, which signals that it can and should be drunk now or within the next 5 years or so to fully enjoy its balanced and somehow still fruity appearance. Maybe I should have waited longer with my earlier consumed 4 bottles for this to come fully around. 1 Bottle left.

Nose is quite mature with warm aromas of baked black cherries with herb switches, old wine-soaked wood and maybe old leather. Medium-full bodied with a core of sweet cherry fruit. The tannin is completely resolved and the acid a bit low. Drink now! 90
