S: earthy, barnyard, white pepper T: prunes, grippy tannins, cherry fruit leather, tobacco
Tried after it was uncorked and it was a little rough with cow pasture smell. Decanted for an hour and it got much better. Definitely needs to breathe out. I would have scored into the 70s range without the decanting. Will hold up well to bold red meats like smoked BBQ or char-grilled steak.

Smells sorta like a cool climate Cabernet. A little bit of tobacco leaf in there. Definitely tastes more like a old world wine. Marie notes its earthy and delicious.

Deep ruby purple, not quite opaque Ripe black currant nose extending to palate. Dry but nice ripe dark berry fruit. A bit simple and short, but a very good cabernet value at $10 and serious enough to compete with simple Bordeaux at a similar price point. I rather like this at this level.

Tart cherry and plum. Decent oak backbone, and tannins are soft. Nothing special, but not bad.

A lot of plum and grapey notes, a touch sweet and some dark chocolate but very little depth. Drinkable but nothing close to the 90 point score of WE.
