Jura study (Chicago, IL): Moderately reductive nose at first. A good mix of red and black fruit; more delicate in style but ripe. Minerally and clean (for the first ten minutes). Light but slightly leathery tannins on the finish. Went mousy very quickly.
Cloudy bright garnet. The aroma is the best kind of funky, cola, warm spice, a cool breeze over freshly fertilized farmland. Medium acidity, medium+ tannins dry mid-palate. Black fruit, granite, background of white pepper and barnyard funk. Really nice, and light relative to its structure. I'd be interested to see progression 5-7y years out.
