  • Red Burgundy. Tasted with Mandarin Orange Chicken, and paired well. Light and translucent ruby-garnet. Fresh fruit aroma, dark cherries. Very easy-drinking, low alcohol, fresh, smooth. No sign of oak. Nice, medium finish. Drinkable is the main impression.

  • Decanted 2 hours. Upon decanting beautiful full cherry aroma. Flavor of soft lead pencil, tender plums & rich cherries. Good healthy legs. Balanced soft light acidity & oak on the finish. Went well with chicken & mushroom Risotto.

  • The color is fairly transparent light garnet with a hint of purple.

On the nose the wine is fresh red cherries, freshly cut grass. It smells young and vibrant. There is a minerality there too; an old world character. A very nice nose, albeit not super complex.

On the palate the mouthfeel has the lightness and finesse of red Burgundy; medium mourhfeel; medium acidity. Very pleasant but not complex. Some minerality and some fruit.

Not too much of a finish.

For $25 this is good value in the US for an entry level Burgundy. I would definitely get more of this. This is a perfect way to introduce Burgundy to newcomers. Went great with Shabu Shabu.

  • Mid-to-full bodied and firmly structured, with cherries, strawberries, and spices wrapped around approachable tannins. It's crisp, fruity, and develops an earthy, wood spice nuance. Delicious.
