Had this wine as a starter at an Italian dinner, couldn’t believe it was a white from Pinot Noir. Light pinkish color in the glass. Aromas are quite straightforward, displaying themselves in forms of peach, green apple, red plum, mango skin and blueberry. Light-bodied, but broad fruit, offering a lot on the palate. Acidity is moderate. Has a saline tang to it. Long finish. Gooood stuff and interesting at that.

First time trying this white Pinot Nero and it did not disappoint. Paired with Spanish ham for aperitif. Slow ox in bottle. Pink orange in glass. Nose of floral and peach. Palate is very dry, medium plus acidity. All very rose-like. Low alcohol. Rather linear in style, this wine is interesting but not very complex. But a great way to start off the night.

Dinner at Enoclub in Alba. A new one on me! Rich nose of peach skin, almond and orange zest. Palate shows skin contact, but well judged, then you get more stone fruit, this time cherry, and finishing with soft acid. Interesting wine!

Drank over 2 nights. Would not have guessed Pinot Noir, but this wine is quite well made, with watermelon and melon and peach flavors and a bracing lemony acid backbone. Would pair well with a wide variety of dishes and is drinking well now with what I think is little upside. Drink now-2023 or 2024.

Day 1: bitterness takes over. Little fruit and low acidity
~16 hours later: acidity and fruits(peach, strawberries, grapefruit…) and a little minerals and florals all show up. No bitterness.
The situation is very similar to some of the rose wines I’ve had before.
