Very solid chardonnay that went well with grilled salmon. Some oak, but not overbearing, crisp granny smith apple, not really getting the objectionable acidity that other reviewers have. YMMV.

First of 6 ($17.99@) from online wine clearinghouse #2. On the nose and palate, medium+ potent notes of green apples, red apple skins, Meyer lemon, river rocks, and light notes of white florals and jasmine. Medium gold, medium+ bodied, medium legs. Fairly vibrant acidity, integrating and balancing with air, no heat. Good+ complexity, VG persistence and intensity. It may be unprecedented in my time on CT that I’ve reviewed consecutive wines from the same producer outside of a tasting, but circumstances set up for this after ordering a case in my ongoing quest to find reasonable (well, let’s be honest, in this case, almost cheap) wines for my friends who like wine more than they care what they drink that I can at least somewhat enjoy, too. This was a PnP but finished over 4 nights, with the main difference being that the acidity that the first 2 tasters observed balanced and mostly integrated (and to the extent it didn’t, it wasn’t distracting to me) over time. Solidly better than a randomly picked chard at this price point picked up at Safeway or somewhere similar, what keeps me from scoring this higher at present is a bit too much oak, which integrated somewhat over the time the wine was open but remained a bit more than optimal. I’ve consistently liked this winery, and even this cuvee (2017, 92), and I think that this has a bit of upside, and should at least have a drinking window of a few years from here. Pleasant on its own and a good accompaniment to scampi. 88-89 off the pour, 90+ nights 3-4.

I agree with the previous reviewer ... some nich chard qualities, but there is a bite ... a little over acidic.

Solid version of a bit larger Sonoma Coast cuvee. Bit of a bit. At the price we paid for a case, not bad at all. I might buy more.
