Second tasting: Fruit forward oaky Shiraz. Would assume a lot of American oak was used, but the winemaker states that merely 18% was new french and American oak. Give it 2 hours decant then the wine gets more elegant and refined. Lots of blackberry and plum, little bit of jam, coconut and vanilla. It’s a pretty heavy and full bodied wine so take your time with it. Can be enjoyed alone but also deserve some decent piece of meat as a matchup. At 5 years of age more cellaring doesn’t benefit anymore. Would enjoy it 4-8 years of age.

2.5h decant, which was fine. Again, intense black berries and plums, oak, smooth tannins and fresh spices (eucalyptus, mint) but also much smoother and better integrated than the previous bottles.
Could not keep up with the 2018 Saronsberg Shiraz, which we had afterwards..

Fantastic! Lots of plum, tiny bit of vanilla and very fruit toward. Very full bodied, medium acidity, and moderately high tannins. It had a subtle, nice sweetness to it, which is typical for an Aussie Shiraz though. This guy definitely requires 45-60 minutes decanting. Afterwards it’s simply beautiful. I had the 2018 one, which already was very delicious. Great value for the price, will be a permanent wine in my cellar for sure.

This was the third bottle and it was closer to my first TN rather than to my second. I wonder if Pirramimma produced two versions of this?
Nevertheless, really nice food wine (we had BBQ), just a little bit too sweet...
