Served this with a goat cheese, beet and orange salad, roasted vegetables and cedar smoked marinated salmon. The food already had a smoky edge from the BBQ so the wine needed to stand up to that and the fatty salmon. This Pinot Noir did it's job without overwhelming! Gravel, cherries, blackberry, raspberry, and noticeable but not predominate tannins. Nice with our food pairing but maybe a little too earthy for some menu items.

Lots of black raspberry to the nose. With some crispiness on the palate, black cherry fruit again, but just a bit hard edged with its tannin. Lots of volcanic soil that this fruit is based on, and that kinda shows on the nose as well. volcanic Pinot.

Ripe on the nose with a touch of savory to it. More savory on the nose as well. But the pallet is more fruit driven. Maybe just a touch youthful right now.

Just a touch of green too it. Not too much, swirling blows it off. Cool climate Pinot, and drinking nicely fresh to it.
