Opened side-by-side with the Once & Furture version. This was more dense with a darker fruit profile with notes of cocoa and anise. The less open wine of the two I think it requires a couple more years in the cellar.

Dinner was smoked brisket with a big group so wanted to have a fun wine lineup. Pulled the 2020 OHR bottlings from Bedrock, Bucklin and Carlisle. All exceptional wines with interesting distinctions.
Bucklin Ancient was the most immediately open of the bunch and wowed with really appealing fruit. Carlisle’s (debut) version was remarkably silky and long, with stunning texture and (at this point) probably tne most tamed tannin. Bedrock’s was the most powerful and structured of the three, with very slightly darker profile.
The group was about evenly split between the three but I’ll give Bedrock the edge. All three of these represent crazy value.

PnP. Dark ruby / medium purple. Nose is a darker cherry. Nice weight and density on the palate.
Balanced and tasty, if not young and one-note. Structured, but approachable right now. Will see if some complexity develops with air.
We're 3 hours in and this has gotten more distincitve while also less heavy, would call it bordering on juicy. OHR is my favorite Bedrock. It's just so lovely. Wonder what it is in 5-10 years, luckily have 3 bottles left so will find out.

First Bedrock for me. Soft and lush but enough acidity to avoid flabbiness. Very little heat. No evidence of smoke taint (have to check this off for 2020). Some upside potential. Very good value.

Delish - give plenty of air if drinking now, otherwise hold 1-2.
