  • Opened the bottle around 12pm for an evening 6pm drink. Let it air in the bottle till about 5pm when I moved it to the decanter.

This is a lovely Brunello. Lots of leather and chocolate in the nose with shades of cinnamon, vanilla and black cherry. Garnet colored, Medium bodied, Medium+ acidity and Medium- tannins.

This is a classic definition of a Brunello. Drinking well, but definitely not at its peak. Should continue to develop well in the bottle. I am glad that I have 5 more that I will drink over the next 10 years.

One tip for Brunello - Open the bottle in the morning if you want to enjoy in the evening. Decant it about an hour or 90 mins before consumption.
