Lighter and redder than the '18, which isn't surprising, but also lighter and redder than this year's Noirots, which was a little surprising - if I'd had them together I'd have suspected the Chambolle and Nuits had switched bottles. All this is in relative terms though and this still has the voluptuous curves and velvety, enveloping mouthfeel that pinot delivers at its most seductive and Brisset seems to have a special talent for channeling.

4.5 hour decant. dark fruited, blackberry, cranberry, loads of baking spice. The air was generous, it drinks easily, but very tasty on a cool Gall evening.
