Served from a magnum with about a 3 hr double decant. Young but delicious. Big and dark, a definite Russel Bevan wine. Anise, blackberry, red berry fruit, Diamond Mtn deliciousness. Accompanied a pecan smoked tenderloin and was a near perfect match.

2023 Napa; 2/5/2023-2/9/2023 (Napa with a connection in Houston): Wow, really good, lovely spice component mixed with Diamond Mountain red berry fruit. Loved this wine, loved the ‘18, loved this even more. Time to buy more. My 3 of 7. When served I would have immediately put this as WOTN, but. . . . Then the Il Don and Reserve showed up
