Mainly red fruit, spices (some gloves, pepper), tannins well integrated, nice density and good length. The cork went out in crumbles, have to buy an old Burgundian corkscrew with the 2 blades to squeeze the cork on both sides for pulling it out. Otherwise a splendid wine. Pascal was at that time the partner and mentor of Cecile Tremblay.

Rich red/blue fruits are paired with the excitement of home made cola. Rich and full on the palate with hints of earthiness and savory smoke as the liquid swirls around your tongue.
Very light TCA muted the finish - it didn't bother me, especially when paired with food, but it likely limited the potential of the bottle I drank.

this was beautiful and differed from many of the '05's I've opened in the last 5 years... it felt fully mature and more elegant than many of those bottles... a true delight with classic Volnay (elegance, easy going, red fruit, light not dark) and Taillepied (bright, lifted -- tho this was slightly checked by the full'ish body) typicity...great / random purchase... too bad I only bought one bottle

Showing lots of positive development. Meats, spices. Lovely wine. Still a bit grippy but already quite enjoyable. Check again in a few years. Wines like this give me high hopes for the 2005 vintage.
