Just a few legs when swirling in the glass, makes sense, labeled at 12.9 ABV.
Nose is medicinal and cherry. Attack is bright sweet cherry, jolly rancher, but it's immediately followed by tart pomegranate and hot cinnamon. Acid seems quite prevalent. Stem notes provide a bit of edginess.

Very tight at pop: Cherry lozenge up front, moves into a stemmy, green core and finishes with good acidity. Loosen up a bit on day two, though it was more the cherry lozenge flavor broadening than developing. This one probably needs a day or two sitting open on the counter at this point... or better yet about 4 years in the cellar.

Popped and poured. Aroma of red fruit and garden herbs. Clean flavors of tart cherry and lemon, which gain weight and fill out to a rich cherry finish. Young, reticent, and linear, with attractive flavors and a firm backbone. I like it now, but think I should leave it alone for a few years.

Day 1 - Pulled from basement at 60 degrees, decanted and poured first glass right away. As the previous TN mentioned, the candied cherry note predominates. I was OK with it but my wife thought it too much like Sucrets. Good but not great.
Day 2 - Held a glass over (sat in decanter over night at room temp), the cherry was very subdued and the tannins showed up, giving it a really pleasant medium finish. A more complete and integrated wine tonight. Much better on day 2, and indicates where this wine is heading. I should be note that I intended to grab a Ribbon Ridge but opened the Armstrong instead, which I had intended to let sit for a bit, and this confirmed that approach. If you wish to open one give it a 24 decant.

After two hours, nicely floral nose with sweet candied notes, and a medium weight palate that shows more sweet candy, red cherry. med- finish. A very quiet showing, doesn’t seem tight but not giving much either.
