  • 100% Montepulciano. Ridiculously good value at $10 from Costco. Deep ruby w/ a garnet rim. Clean, med+ black cherry, blueberry, black currant, balsamic. All stainless steel. Dry, but w/ plenty of fruit, consistent with the nose. Med to med+ acidity, tannins and alcohol (13.5%). Med+ to full-bodied, with med flavor intensity and length. Great as an every-day, very versatile and well-balanced wine to pair with a wide variety of comfort foods. Drink now, not intended for aging, although it is great at 6 years and will last several more. Great QPR.

  • Deep purple in color; black cherries, blackberries, and herbs (maybe thyme) on the nose; medium acidity; tastes like plum, a hint of green peppercorns, and blackberries with a long finish. Nellie and Bri didn't like it with spaghetti and I agree.
