  This wine presents an earthy nose with hints of dark fruit, vanilla extract, leather, and a touch of pencil shavings. The palate offers a nicely balanced array of flavors, including sweet dark cherry, blueberry compote, and subtle notes of cocoa, tobacco, and baking spice. Velvety tannins provide a luxurious texture, integrated perfectly with the wine's full-bodied and weighty profile, leading to a long finish.

  Decanted 6 hours. Delightful bursts of earthiness mixed with fruit on the nose and great follow through in the mouth. Fruitier than the typical Howell Mountain. If you prefer the classic earthly vegetable profile, this may be a bit too fruity for you. Went well with short ribs.
