  • On the nose, Cabernet Franc shines through: there are jalapeño-like pyrazines. There are notes of blackcurrant but it’s also vegetal, reminds me of chewing a berry bush. There is a little bit of liquorice as well, makes me even think of Syrah. Thus, oak is not as noticeable or sweet but it’s clearly there.
Oh the palate, there are green tannins, it tastes like chewing on a berry bush as well. There are black currant and blackberry.
The finish is long and very dry.

  • Second bottle this year. I bought half a case with the intention to age but this is simply fire right now. Notes match the previous one... superb combination of lightness and plushiness. Texture is to die for. The slight hint of pyrazine greenness adds to the complexity and doesn't detract from the delicious cherry fruit. A superbly polished wine.

  • Very fresh and bright, much more approachable at this stage than I was expecting. Oak is well integrated. Decanted for two hours. Even better on second day. Definitely has a bright future ahead. Will only get better. 91-92

  • Acidic upon opening. Mellowed out after 2-3 hours in a decanter. Better on second day.

  • Super Tuscan take on Right Bank BDX

Blackberry, black cherry, tobacco, bell pepper.. you can feel the Cab Franc component quite clearly.

Oak is present but well integrated

Texture is plush, almost chewy but the wine paradoxically manages to still feel light on its feet.

    Tannins are soft.

Super drinkable, ready to go upon popping. Pairing it with steak with rosemary and sage butter really makes it sing.
