  Medium to deep ruby, dried strawberry, cherry, cinnamon stick, bay, and hints of ham hock on the nose, palate is bright and tart with red fruit layered with mineral streak, earth, and fine tannins, finish is a tart but a bit sanguine with warm earth, heavy chalk, black cherry, and more
  
  Note: Sort of warmed up to this wine, fruity on the attack but those deep Savigny vines deliver the complexity one expects from Burgundy
