My friend likes bigger wines and it was his birthday, so I queued this up. Decanted for 2 hours. Served at 65 degrees. It was excellent. Deep, dark color. Full fruited but not in your face. Tannins were remarkably soft for such a big varietal. Alcohol was not noticeable. Tasted with boeuf bourguignon as well as chocolate. Can be a sipper, too, on a cold night.
It is drinking very well right now, so much so that I might open my other bottle should the weather turn cold again. Otherwise, it will age for a decade or more.

Big bold dark flavors of the variety, but slightly restrained for a Petite Sirah. Very nice.
