  • Very interesting wine--super sweet and palette-coating reminiscent of Sauternes or Tokaji, but much darker than either. Intense raisin flavors mix with toffee, coffee, and maybe just a hint of baking spice. All together a dark, syrupy impression from this wine, with just enough acidity to keep it feeling relatively balanced. Perhaps not the most complex profile, but still rich, decadent, super long finish, and punches well above its weight for the price if you're looking for a relatively specific effect. Well worth a try

  • Deep walnut color; sweet fruitcake nose; medium bodied, textured, not quite cloying, no discernible acidity; still enjoyable to me

  • Continues to impress! Really nice dessert wine with amazing balance of sweetness and structure. Had with treches leches, tiramisu and a very rich flan and paired beautifully with all. Not sure how many years old it is (NV) but the age has smoothed out any potential rough spots and all 5 of us were very impressed.

  • A very pleasant surprise. Very dark in color; almost molasses color but extremely pleasant with dessert. Obviously sweet but not cloying. Impressive for its age, which we don't know for sure given it is NV but has to be from 80's or 90's. Heavier in flavor than a sauterne but still very nice!
