  (Tasted Blind): Mid gold in colour, the wine exhibits mineral, wet chalk and clay with hints of salted nuts and subtle aromas of tangerine peel. The wine, sadly, appears to be quite evolved showing oxidative elements. The palate confirms with that creamed honey, nut and orange barley sugar.

  Excellent village Meursault, fresh nose with hints of toast and butter. Medium palate with good fruit and acidity balance, nice mineral finish. Excellent 06 white.

Anyway, so to this AC. The aromatics would suggest a good amount of barrel toast, not sure if this producer uses a lot or not but it seems to be there. The palate shows a similar oak accent of creamier edges, also making the lemon taste more chiffon-like. It finishes with nice weight, some lime and toasty flavor. There is enough acidity in the wine to enjoy it but I honestly think the oak (or whatever it is) was applied a too heavy.

  Begins woody, but not toasty, the wood is new, untreated lumber. With air, the new wood smooths out, turns to vanilla, but never quite leaves the palate. There is also a bit of green-ness, but not leafy, more like snapping an underripe, green branch of a plant. Despite the new wood, I rather enjoy this wine for its clarity and richness. Quite tasty.
