My first ever Tannat, so I don't have a lot to go on with this varietal. Lot of fun. Well structured and balanced, fruity, some tannin and oak, more tannin that fruit on the finish. Finish starts with a bang buts fades quickly. Really enjoyable overall. Definitely will seek out another bottle for this price.

Beautiful and really dark ruby colour with clearing at the rim. On the nose, I get plenty of dark chocolate with bay leaf, cloves, and a little bit of fennel. Fruit-wise, I get blueberry and blackberry. There is a nice smell of dry fire wood, too, and violets. Some very very distant musk, too, but the bouquet appears clean and new-worldly. Quite pretty in my opinion. Oh the palate, there is a lot of tannin that doesn’t leave the mouth for a while. Despite this, the body is not overly heavy, medium or medium+. The tannin does bring a lot of bitterness though. The acidity is high and all of the tastes drown out the aromatics. I do get some over steeped black tea and dried blueberry though. This is my first Tannat, I think it was really interesting but it is very intense. I wonder if this mellows out with age? 8/18

89/90. A good Uruguayan Tannat with nice forest fruit and mint aromas and freshly fruited nicely oaked black fruits palate with medium length, tannin. 14%. Needs 2-3 hrs aeration or Lay down 2-5 years.

Black cherry, dark plum favors. Medium body with above-average tannins. Paired will with smoked BBQ ribs.

Tät mörkröd färg.
Stor frukt på nosen.
Dryper av bäbisfett, swullig frukt och har lite lagom tanniner kvar för god njutning idag. Jag är helt nöjd!
Det här är bättre än mycket från Madiran.
Mums!
Kan säkerligen bli något med 10 års lagring.
