  • Tasters guessed Chambolle Musigny from Pacalet and the resemblance to this type of Burgundy is striking.

A very fine red fruit of raspberries and Forrest strawberries in the nose. Fine and elegant fruit acidity and minerality. Some clear notes of green impact most likely from whole clusters.

For a Dane this wine will always be fun, and give a sense of pride that this quality of wine can be produced on own soil - perhaps an extra point for that - but really a fine cool climate Pinot noir (frühburgunder).

Try it if you see it

  • Wow oh wow! This defies belief! Complex nose of pinot-goodness, whiff of integrated oak and some herbaceousness. Maybe a bit of the geosmine that dominates the 2018, but in this case it is at a much lower quantity and just adds to the complexity. Taste is great too, zappy and vibrant pinot with a bit of well integrated oak. The herbaceousness is sensed less on the palate. No sense of underripeness, which is almost supernatural in a vintage, where we probably had sunshine for about 14 days the whole summer. Unbelievable. Can’t wait for the 2020 where the summer was decidedly better
