Textbook Pinot. Smelt like Pinot from the glass at chin level with raspberry, cherry and that forest floor nose. Palate matched the nose, some spice. Fears of the 2020 bushfires vintage were allayed, this was in excellent condition, no evidence of smoke or heat-affected stewed fruit. Nothing out of place but also not exceptional? Maybe just young and a bit tight. 7th wine in a lineup so I'll refrain from giving a score as I fear I didn't give it the attention it may have deserved.

Yarra, Mornington, Geelong wine tour day two (Yarra Valley): Medium minus intensity aromas of brambles and black berry and plums, sweet oak spice, caramel. Juicy, oak more to the fore on the palate, again black fruits which prove more tangy rather than fresh, a little fruit tea, tannins are grippy and drying <shrugs>

Elegant perfumed nose nothing to outrageous. The palate is finely structured comprising of strawberries, spice and a little creaminess. Long finish with well managed acidity. A very pretty pinot.

CellarDoor TWE Tasting (Langham Hotel, Kent Street, Sydney): Polished oak, perfumed dark fruits, plenty of spice, textured butt is slightly drying, tangy, fruit slightly subsumed here.
