Such a translucent red color ...... the nose is full of red fruit and wild herbs with a little red licorice. Th mouth is limpid and all of a sudden the wine explodes, red fruit compote , mineral, saline, sulfur but in a good way ...the whole thing holds together really well...still young but the 3 others will wait a few years ...very good wine and really different!!

Moderate ruby in the glass. Totally terroir-driven wine, you know this is from Sicily any time of the day. Nose of redcurrant & raspberry crushed with volcanic ash. Medium-bodied, high acidity, moderate tannins. Unfortunately, when I look at the price of this is a wine bar ($300+) I just don't see the value of it. The wine doesn't have enough depth to go beyond "an easy-drinking red". Yes, it does have sense of place, but not to the extent of paying this much for it.

Had a really lovely purity and lightness. Bright red fruits like tart cherries with a fresh pomegranate aspect. A little sappy. Light structure. A little ash and strawberry. Nicely complex and really enjoyabke.

From a magnum that was opened all night. Declassified Magma bottling. The lightest of the Cru’s but also the most elegant. Juicy cherry, strawberry, ash, mineral and dried herbs. Acidic but very crushable day or night.
