Almost really solid for the price with a nice elegance to it, but I never fell in love with the nose, which feels either slightly smoke-damaged (hard to say for sure) or simply underripe with poor grape quality. The palate is much better, a nice bing cherry tone with very gentle, silky tannins, some acidity (could use a bit more, but it's there), etc. I had a much better experience with their regular reserve label Sta. Rita Hills Pinot, also straightforward but far more enjoyable and complete.
