  2018 Scipio, Tenuta Sette Cieli, Cabernet Franc, Toscana, 14,5%
  Appearance: Medium intensity and Ruby Color
  Nose: On the nose the wine was clean with medium (+) intensity and Primary aromas of Red fruit (Red Currant); Black Fruit (Blueberries, Blackberries); Dried Cooked Fruit (Prune) Herbacious (Bell Pepper, Black Pepper); Secondary aromas from Oak (Vanilla, Cedar, Cloves).
  Palate: Dry, High Acidity, Medium (+) Tannins, Flavor Intensity and Body. High Alcohol. Primary aromas of Red fruit (Red Currant); Black Fruit (Blueberries, Blackberries); Dried Cooked Fruit (Prune) Herbaceous (Bell Pepper, Black Pepper); Secondary aromas from Oak (Vanilla, Cedar, Cloves).
  Long Finish
  Assessment of quality: Well Balanced, Long finish and Medium (+)(nose)/Medium (+) Flavor Intensity and High complexity of aromas/flavors gives a quality of Outstanding
  Readiness for drinking: Pleasant to drink now but will tertiary flavors over time. Can drink now but have potential for aging.

  (100% Cabernet Franc aus biologisch bewirtschafteten Lagen auf 400 Meter über Meer. Spontan vergoren, 24 Monate Ausbau in zu 40% neuen, französischen Eichenfässern. Nur 4000 Flaschen Produktion). Kräftiges Rubinrot, jugendlicher Glanz. Die Nase zeigt Tabak, Trockenkräuter, Blaubeeren, Minze und Lakritze, mit mehr Luft kommt diese für Cabernet Franc so typische, leicht krautige Note hinzu, faszinierend. Der Auftakt im Gaumen ist cremig und rund, dann packt eine markante Tanninstruktur zu, diese ist fein mit der üppigen Kirschfrucht verwoben, die 14.5% Alkohol sind top verpackt, der Wein baut ordentlich Druck auf und hinterlässt im reiffruchtigen, langen Abgang eine noble, würzige Note. Aktuell noch jugendlich, doch mit etwas Luft im Dekanter bereits heute mit viel Genuss zu trinken. Dies ist ein weiteres, wunderbares Beispiel, dass 2018 in der Toskana sehr charmante und zugängliche Weine entstanden sind. 93 vvPunkte www.vvwine.ch

  Swig - Portfolio Tasting. Brief notes: Aromas of flowers and spices. Very classically Cab Franc with black fruits, green peppers, and a leafy character. It’s quite luxurious with some young grippy tannins too. Real depth of flavour on the midpalate.
