  Decanted for an hour before tasting. Deep opaque ruby-purple in color. Nose starts off with big bright dark cherries and flower blossoms, then it quickly veers down the plummy and green bell pepper tones of Cab, followed by dark cocoa, leather, preserved strawberries, and saline. Medium heavy bodied. Palate is much more savory than the nose let on. Plums, strawberries, dark cherries, sage, tarragon, a bit of thyme, and black pepper. Very smooth and round tannins. Long spicy mineral and herb finish with just a hint of the green bell pepper.
  
  Overall this is a very nice blend and each of the components shines though.
