Nice aged Cab Franc. Earthy, stony, peppercorn and green pepper, heavy cranberry flavor. Leathery tannin. Bordeaux-like with a little less body. Did well with Thanksgiving leftovers.

Very Good+. Great telltale aromatics out of the gate. I'd have thought it Chinon for sure. Some earth and stone and violet. This is very much upright, however, even hard. Rustic is that word that comes to mind, even if it's a another fallback term. It seems to have more structure than it can justify with the fruit and it will be interesting to see if this integrates over time or if the fruit fades faster. A very nice bottle that worked great at the table and that's where I advise drinking it. An elevated bistro wine. I really enjoyed it.
Nose: Loamy earth, bit of barnyard, very nice. Palate: Tart red plums and cranberry; rose; with time in the glass, blackberry emerges with faint raisin; polished tannins.

Disappointed in this wine. Overly tart and not much depth. Perhaps the bottle was off, but it was properly stored and didn't have an obvious flaw. I'm typically a fan of cab franc, but this one didn't do it for me.

A rough but interesting drink. Aromas of (rather harsh) powdered white pepper, eucalyptus, tomatoes, and prunes. Savory to be sure. Thicker, less juicy, than most Chinon wines I’ve tasted. Gritty tannins make the tasting experience even more challenging. Noticeable amount of sediment.
The question is whether this wine will improve with age. I’m not optimistic.
