Still maturing gracefully and probably has many years to go. The earthiness of Mourvedre dominates and the tannins are nicely softened with the whole affair nicely integrated. Like a Bandol Rouge.

A big but very well behaved mouthful. Decanted about 30 min (and did not seem to improve much over the rest of the night). Nose does not predict the sudden first burst of flavor which evolves as previously described with a mid-palate burst of rounded flavorful tannins. There is some cherry, fig and graphite in the mix. Looking at my note from my first bottle in mid 2009 (which included "closed on first pouring with a somewhat twiggy finish") it is clear that the years have been good to this bottle.

Drinking amazing right now. Beautiful integration and definitely not over the hill. Beautiful fruit with balanced acid and mineral backbone. Very long finish. Bravo Stephan!

Decanted approx. 1 hour ... This was really interesting. Opens very tart and dry and then blossoms with rich, red fruit in the mid and finishes with substantial, but rounded, tannins. A very interesting flavor profile, that shined with food (pan-seared scallops with lemon-thyme mashed potatoes, lobster stew and asparagus). Seems extremely well-made, with virtually unlimited life left. ... Mark's birthday, 2013.
