  Fantastic...magical pairing with Reverse Seared Ribeye Steak...brings out the cherry and black pepper.

  Fantastic super tuscan. On the nose: black berries, some floral, some pepper. On the palate: smooth, spicy, black fruit, big. Long finish.

  Last time we tried this, we had it next to the Seghesio San Lorenzo...which ruined this one, as the San Lorenzo is so good. Tonight we got to try this solo. It was great! left it open for about 1.5 hours, on the nose...some floral and spice. My partner said it was pretty dry...i didn't think so...i thought it was just right... spicy, a touch of fruit. It really was great with food... roasted root veggies were great with it, as well as asparagus...and a nice reverse seared ribeye steak. There was a little magic with the root veggies... made the spiciness burst a bit...and the steak? a touch of interaction...maybe magic...with a touch of a sour note emerged between the steak and the wine. Great stuff. go get some.

  Really, really, really liked this wine. What was dumb on our part is that we had this wine AFTER we had the Seghesio San Lorenzo Zin. We liked the San Lorenzo so much, it may have eclipsed our ability to really experience the Omaggio to its fullest. We decanted the wine for about 1.5 hours. On the nose...some floral... on the pallet: nice cab structure and tannins... we found that when paired with parmesan cheese, there was a really cool interaction... really good with smoked ribeye. Want to try this again with an Italian meal
