  • Drank last nite with Mexican take out in Copake. I've had this wine before and my notes are very consistent. Pretty honey-like golden color, Gobs of apricots on the nose. Lively acidity mixes nicely with the wonderfully ripe fruit (apricots, nectarines, peaches) and honey nuances. A lovely, medium to full bodied and fairly sweet wine that is somewhat on the unctuous side. Nice complexity and good length. I've always liked this wine and still do

  • Medium golden color, apricots shouting out on the nose. Lively acidity mixes nicely with the wonderfully ripe fruit (apricots, nectarines, peaches) and honey nuances. A lovely, medium to full bodied and fairly sweet wine that is somewhat on the unctuous side. Nice complexity and good length. I finished it a week after opening it and it was still kicking it...

  • Otis opened a bottle of this after a dinner he hosted featuring Tom and Deb Mortimer of Le Cadeau. Very florally, wth some honey and spice notes too. Good acidity balances honey and apricot flavors. A very nice bottle.

  • Yummy, yummy. I love Alsatian dessert wines (although CT does not consider this particular one a dessert wine -- I do), which to me are very complex and a great value. Took from my cellar to a fine restaurant. By the end of the meal when we had this, I was not really focused on analyzing the wine. I remember the lovely nose and the rich palate, which had honey, pineapple and tropical fruits. Went great with the walnut bread pudding. I left a glass for the chef, who called me that night to ask where he could get several cases for himself. I am not making this up.
