Tio Lucho's Dinner (Sommelier Guild of Atlanta) (Atlanta, GA): Tasted at Somm Guild of ATL dinner @ Tio Lucho's. No formal notes (just scores) since this was a social event. This was double decanted about 2 hours before served. Good pairing with Lomo Saltado but just didn't seem as good as previous showings - not sure why. Brad - heavypourwine.com

Winemakers and Players at Altitude event - Napa and Sonoma in Atlanta (Atlanta, GA): Tasted at the High Museum's "Winemakers and Players at Altitude" event in Atlanta last night. Malbecs are typically way too angular and harsh for my palate. This one was neither! The Malbec was my favorite of the three wines poured (the other two were a very nice cab and cab blend).

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (EBCC): Double blind. Loads of dill and pickle juice qualities here-must be American oak. Dark fruit underneath. Full-bodied. (SS)
