Medium yellow. Curious profile here, with lychee (as noted by previous poster) and cantaloupe aromas and a distinct suggestion of off-dryness on the attack that doesn't follow through to any true detectable residual sugar later on. I rather like it now although I imagine it was probably best when released.

Tasted April 9, 2008. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of apricot, gooseberry and florals. Flavors of peach, grapefruit and lemon curd. Medium to bright acidity, light body. Drink over the short term.

Food pairing: penne pasta, shrimp, chicken, in a white wine sauce (made from 150ml of this bottle). Bouquet has gentle notes of honey and citrus. Very fresh taste on the tip of the tongue, nice acidity, slightly sweet on the mid-palate (estimate 0.3% residual), finish is somewhat quick and slightly dry.

Italian Wines at Mi Piaci: Large Italian tasting. Minimal notes. Dry, but with hints of leechee aromas. Interesting.
