opened and decanted for 2 hours before dinner with friends. Wow - it was like a mouthful of blackberry jam - in a good way - with plenty of structure to balance out the fruit. Tabun’s had mellowed some given the age but were still present with a nice note of oak too. Medium finish. This will keep for a while longer.

Wine Tasting with Wine Collector's Group (Tempe, AZ): Blackberry with heavy oak on the nose. Fruit forward blackberry palate. A nicely integrated high alcohol wine. Simpler flavor profile focused more on the velvety texture. Very much like Silver Oak, but not quite as fruity. Integrated and balanced wine with medium plus acidity and tannins.

From IJC's bottle two days later. Extremely dark in color, with purple tints. Star bright and almost completely opaque. Aromas of plum, black currant, and clove, along with hints of dark cocoa. In the mouth, this is an absolute full-bodied monster, syrupy in consistency. The intensity is hard to handle even on day three, and I found the level of alcohol (14.9% according to the label, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was higher) impossible to overcome. NOT RATED.

Nice bottle of wine. Decanted about an hour prior to dinner. Dark fruit, still grippy and still a bit of oak. An enjoyable bottle. No rush to consume now, but can be enjoyed now.

Decently made wine, modern in style, well integrated. Lots of dark fruit with some dusty floral elements.
