  • What a huge pleasant surprise on this bottle. This wine was suggested by a very knowledgeable employee at the downtown Specs in Houston. Thanks, Zach! So the color on this wine looked like a Sauternes. Bright yellow orange color. The bouquet was packed with honeysuckle, mandarin orange, honey, apricot and sweet citrus. Intoxicating. The first noticeable aspect of the wine on the palate is the weight. Thick, mouthcoating, and dense. This isn't your cheap ass Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio. Once on the palate you notice how bone dry it is. Acidity is kicking hard on the finish. It finishes with more of lemon square flavor. If I had this wine blind, I would have guessed Alsace Grand Cru Riesling. The deep color and orange flavors. It almost smells like a Sauternes. If anyone has a chance, pick this bottle up. It is absolutely worth it @ $20.
