Was drinking the best on its third night. Plenty of earthy, mineral qualities - reminds me of a Mercurey in many ways with its underbrush and sweet tobacco. There’s also fruit in here no doubt but this is a food wine too. Tremendous pairing with mushrooms. Ridge can do no wrong for me lately.

Part of tasting for my wine group at a Turkish restaurant. Somehow nondescript. I drank my glass but it didn't really leave an impression, good or bad. It was in the middle of a bunch of different reds and maybe it just got lost in the shuffle.

Not sure how to describe this. It's unlike a lot of CA Pinots, no floral notes to speak of but has some nice fruit to it. Once poured, it definitely needs some time to open up in the glass and thus might improve with additional time in the cellar. Similar to one posted note, I didn't like the first bottle I opened shortly upon release and this was much better.

Lacked characteristic cherry aroma that I expected.

One of the more enjoyable CA Pinot’s I’ve had. Bright, balanced red fruit and no sign of roasted flavors. The balance was admirable.
