Drank at Teo Soon Long Chan, Melaka. Donated by the Teos. This had been one day in the bottle. Pleasant enough wine, but lacking in both pinot and terroir expression. A big no-no for me. Rather big for the varietal, with smoky vanilla accents and darkish fruits on the nose. Only the slight bit of cola and stewed cherries on the palate told me it was a pinot. Otherwise, the dark fruits, heavy use of toasty oak, dash of spice and straightforward style could be any medium bodied new-world red blend. Saving grace? It was a pleasant drink, well structured, with firm tannins that went well with the great food on show.

very nice delicate flavors of cherries & strawberries with a light to medium body. Nice clean finish with a hint of leather. Would definitely buy again.

Decent Pinot for the money. Simple, tart cherry flavors dominate. A little bit hot. Interesting to see what Pinot can do in Tasmania, but I probably wouldn't buy again.

Interesting little piece of winemaking. It looks, smells and tastes (almost) like a Bourgogne. Aroma of ripe red fruit (cherries) and some spices. On the palate the cherries turn out to be surprisingly sour. On the whole not my cup of tea, but good value for money (7,75 euro).
