This syrah-based blend smelled very sweet, with hints of sherry and plum ... possibly a bit oxidated. This clear wine has a purple-garnet color of medium-deep depth. The palate is spicy, woodsy, and acidic all at the same time. The fruit was muted, but this bottle had been open for three days, so perhaps it was dying out. The finish was of medium length.
Rich purple with ruby highlights...demure nose of wandering spice and dark fruit and a palate that was very approachable...medium to full grip with a light edge and a taste profile for me...that kept me thinking ripe zinfandel...go figure.

Interesting blend at a good price point. This wine blasts you with ripe berry fruit - Cherry, maybe some blackberry and lots of oak. I got cedar and a good amount of alcohol on the nose as well. The palate is much of the same, with lots of sour cherry and oak, fairly heavy and finishes with some sweet tannins. A big fruit bomb that I think is a decent QPR and would rate in the "good" category. I think I'd like this with food.
