Nose: medium black fruits plum and cooked cherries. Tertiary mushroom funk.
Palate: full body, medium pepper spice, medium black fruits currant & cherry. Medium tannic structure. Long finish with medium alcohol & long tertiary leather.
Great quality wood drink again. Pair with well seasoned/smoked red meats.
A pleasing burger day, as always (seared on a piping hot skillet and topped with smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and red onion w/ mayo)
The 2019s are quickly disappearing. A shake in the decanter reveals this to be one foamy boi.
Decanted for 1 hr.
A: M+ ruby w/ medium drip, width, and concentration of tearing.
N: Red cherry, blackberry, earth. Some leathery qualities w/ light oak and slight smoke. Perhaps some subtle plum and anise in the background w/ florality that is barely perceptible.
P: Raspberry and dried cherry dominate over some dark fruit qualities and earth. Tannins are initially dense but not overpowering. A little bit of pepper overlays the well-integrated fruit. Medium- weight w/ a silky, soft texture that presents after it opens up a bit.
C: Lingering finish of fresh cherries. Tannin held on by moderately high acidity. Medium+ to medium length finish overall. An absolute bargain, shame it ticked up to 11.59.

Black fruit up front, deep core with herbs and pepper, bright finish on a lick of acidity. Really good value.
